Resources
Once a while when we take a break of movie watching (rarely if ever), we like to catch up on movie reviews, media research and just browse through historical archives of movies. If you are just as crazy as we are about cinema, check out our ever-expanding list:
- Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com):
- Filmsite.org (Greatest Films)
- Open Directory Project
- Rotton Tomatoes

The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) is a massive collection of movie and TV information. They list so details about a movie, from who was in it, to who made it, to trivia about it, to filming locations, and even where you can find reviews and fan sites on the web. Their site has easy to use search features. The IMDb started as a hobby project by an international group of movie fans, essentially something by movie fans for movie fans.
Filmsite - also known as Greatest Films (http://www.filmsite.org/ and http://www.greatestfilms.org/) is a unique website containing interpretive, descriptive review commentary and historical background, and hundreds of colorful, vintage film posters for some of the best Hollywood and American classic films in the last century.
The Open Directory Project is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors.
This site is famous for critics reviews in terms of tomatoes - fresh or rotten - it sums up what all of the critics are saying about every movie and DVD. On the site you can also view latest trailers & clips, catch up on red carpet fashion, and browse through an extensive film and celebrity database.
When we want to go back, way way back into the history of movies, cinema, plays we go to our trusted resource - Wikipedia.
